Presence/configured-ness is conveyed ONLY by the top-level return of amdsmi_get_gpu_fabric_info (SUCCESS / NOT_SUPPORTED / NO_DATA). Fields with no data present are left at their sentinel value; no per-plane detection contract is promised.
